Physical Activity and Environment
This research area focuses on the development and validation of questionnaires regarding the physical activity of schoolchildren in everyday life and the connections between the living environment of the children and their physical activity: SCARPOL - physical activity . Researchers in this focus area have been commissioned by the Federal Office of Sports to evaluate collaboration between the health and the transport sectors in Europe and Switzerland – Human-powered mobility – and the behaviour related to movement of adults in three Alpine communities with and without limitations on traffic: Basis Evaluation Crans-Montana. In addition, researchers in this focus area participate in the assessment of various intervention projects aimed at promoting movement in everyday life: Gesund bewegt, HPM (Human Powered Mobility).
