The existing spectrum of the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine Basel research activities developed from the foci Environment and Health and Women and Health. In the Environment and Health area several independent research groups exists. Furthermore numerous Public Health projects were take place at the ISPM. The institute also offers Statistical Expertises and arrange Evaluations.
The ISPM Basel has longstanding and extensive experience in the organisation, management and assessment of epidemiological field studies. Research is promoted by funding provided by the Swiss National Science Foundation, the European Union, various Federal Offices and international organisations.
