Databases
The Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine of the University of Basel makes available, as a public service, the literature databases on air pollution and health – LUDOK and on the effects of electromagnetic fields on health – ELMAR . Both of these documentation services are maintained by assignment of the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN
The LUDOK database contains scholarly literature on:
> The effects of air pollution on human health
> Epidemiology of unspecific respiratory tract diseases, asthma and breathing allergies
> Methodological problems of epidemiology of the environment and the respiratory tract.
The literature database ELMAR contains German summaries of mainly English language scientific studies that investigate the effects of electromagnetic fields on health.
